Bhairaw Kumar and Poonam Kumar of PGPM(Energy) 2011-13 at Great Lakes IEMR, Gurgaon won the prestigious technical entrepreneurship competition organized by IIT-Madras as part of "Breakthrough-2012". More than 250 teams participated in these events from across the country. After three stages of selection process, Finally 10-Teams presented their plans in the final round and the Great Lakes IEMR team Akshay Urja came ahead of other teams from IIM-A, IIM-B, IIT-Madras, VJIT-Mumbai, etc. They secured the First prize with a Cash Award of Rs 1,80,000.
