Managing the Multigenerational Workforce: Strategies for Success | Authored by Prof. Vibhav Singh

PwC’s Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2022 highlighted that 54% workforce in India are millennials (26-41 years), 26% are Gen X (42-57 years), 15% are Gen Z (18-25 years of age) and 5% were baby boomers (58-76 years). In India, the generational shift in the workplace has posed challenges for managers. Generational frictions have become even more pronounced post-pandemic with events like great resignation and hybrid-model of working. Several of these frictions have further increased the trust deficit between generations. Managing this diversity requires understanding how each generation works and how to accommodate their needs best.
