Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, celebrated its 12^th Foundation Day on 2^nd March 2022. The ceremony, like the previous year, witnessed a melange of online and offline interactions. Dr. Raja Dutta, Country Head, Devices & Services Partnerships, South-East Asia & India, Google, graced the event with his virtual presence.

The ceremony commenced with Dr. Debasis Sanyal, Director of Great Lakes Gurgaon, lighting the lamp with other faculty members. This was followed by a welcome address by Dr. Sanyal, where he proudly talked about the recent recognition for the institute’s PGDM program by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and collaboration with foreign institutions. He further went on to highlight the faculty and student achievements throughout the academic year.

The stage was then taken over virtually by Mr. Mohan Lakhamraju, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Great Lakes Institute of Management. He addressed the attendees and appreciated the continuous hard work of the faculty and staff. Mr. Mohan emphasized the impactful culture of Great Lakes where the focus is on empowerment and ownership.

The chief guest, Dr. Raja Dutta, delivered the keynote address. He congratulated the institute highlighting its impressive upwards trajectory. Dr. Raja talked about how one can become a responsible business professional by embracing culture, networking, connections, relationships and experiences.

This invigorating momentum set by the keynote address was followed by a faculty and staff felicitation ceremony. The employees were felicitated for their devoted service to the institute and display of exemplary performance over the past year.

The formal celebration was concluded by a vote of thanks by Dr. Ahindra, Professor, Finance and Accounting.

To brighten up the rest of the evening, the PGPM and PGDM batches – the Rajputs, the Warriors and the Chevaliers – had various cultural performances lined up to keep the audience entertained. The variety of performances displayed the beaming talent of the students who participated in the event both virtually and physically. Students were also felicitated with special awards and mentions for their outstanding participation in campus and Karma Yoga activities, internships and live projects.
