Dr. Surya Prakash
Dr. Surya Prakash has over 12 years of experience in industry, academics, and research. He is a Ph.D. from Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur, in Supply Chain Management, and a Master’s in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Rajasthan. He has worked with IIHMR University, Jaipur, BML Munjal University Gurugram, and NorthCap University, Gurugram, and taught UG and PG students various operations and supply chain management courses. At BML Munjal University, he served as Assistant Dean (Academic Operations), at the School of Engineering and Technology, Member of the Board of Management, and as Nodal Officer for ARIIA, Govt of India Ranking. He mastered and led a project-based learning program called Joy of Engineering there. At IIHMR University, he delivered SCM and OM courses curated to the need of the healthcare sector. Throughout his academic journey, he received several awards and fellowships, namely, the MHRD Fellowship, Government of India, the Best Research Paper award in ICHA-18 at NUS Singapore, the All-Round Performer award at BMU, the largest number of publications in a year at IIHMR University, etc. He has a special interest in IPR and patents. He has two patents to his name and expert in patent and IP realization for businesses, especially startups.
Dr. Prakash has published various research papers in top-rated international journals of OM and OR areas like the Journal of Cleaner Production, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, International Journal of Lean Six Sigma, Sustainability, Measuring Business Excellence, Benchmarking: an International Journal, Grey Systems: Theory and Application, etc. His areas of research interest are operations management, supply chain management, sustainability, circular economy, industry 4.0, and new-age technologies for operations management. He has supervised four Ph.D. scholars. He is a reviewer for leading international outlets in OM and SCM domains.
