Celebrating 14 Years of Inspiring Greatness:
Foundation Day 2024

On the 2nd and 3rd of March 2024, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, marked a significant milestone as we celebrated 14 glorious years of inspiring greatness. This year's Foundation Day also celebrated a decade of excellence, welcoming back alumni who have distinguished themselves in the corporate world or through entrepreneurial ventures. The theme, "Reunite and Relive," perfectly encapsulated the essence of the gathering—rekindling old bonds, reliving cherished memories, and creating new ones.

A Highlight to Remember: Chief Guest Ehtisham Zaidi

A particularly special highlight of the event was the presence of our esteemed alumnus, Ehtisham Zaidi. As the VP Analyst and Key Initiative Leader in Data Management at Gartner, Ehtisham's journey from the PGPM 2013-14 batch to his current leadership role is a testament to the transformative power of a Great Lakes education. His presence added immense value and significance to the occasion, inspiring the current batch of students with his journey as an esteemed alum. His continued support and involvement are invaluable as Great Lakes strives to strengthen bonds and foster a vibrant alumni network.

Inauguration Ceremony

The ceremony commenced with Dr. Debasis Sanyal, Director of Great Lakes, Gurgaon, lighting the lamp alongside other faculty members. This was followed by a welcome address from Dr. Sanyal, where he proudly highlighted the recent achievements of the institute and its collaborations with foreign universities. He also took the opportunity to spotlight the faculty and student achievements from the past academic year.

Reflections and Encouragement

Following Dr. Sanyal's address, Mr. Gautam Lakhamraju, COO of the Great Lakes Institute of Management, took the stage. Mr. Gautam reflected on the humble beginnings of the campus and expressed heartfelt gratitude to all staff members for their efforts in building the institute. He encouraged students to pursue their educational journey at Great Lakes with sincerity and a hunger for excellence.

Felicitation and Celebrations

The invigorating momentum set by the keynote address continued with a faculty and staff felicitation ceremony. Employees were recognized for their devoted service and exemplary performance over the past year.

The rest of the evening was brightened by various cultural performances from the PGPM and PGDM batches, showcasing the immense talent of the students. Faculty members also participated in the cultural performances, celebrating alongside the students.

Students were felicitated with awards for their outstanding participation in national competitions, exceptional performance in internships and live projects, as well as campus and Karma Yoga activities. The decorated campus and the palpable sense of pride among the students made it a day to remember.

A Day to Remember

Foundation Day 2024 at Great Lakes Institute of Management, Gurgaon, was a resounding success. It celebrated not only the institute's growth and achievements over the past 14 years but also the strong bonds within the Great Lakes community. As we look forward to many more years of success and shared memories, we remain committed to inspiring greatness in every student who walks through our doors.
