Women's Day at Great Lakes Institute of Management was hosted on 4th March, 2022 with several activities including a leadership conclave, sports tournaments, entertainment and more. The leadership conclave had 5 distinguished leaders from management, sports, entertainment and education who interacted with students and faculty. The theme of the conclave was #ChoosetoChallenge (the status quo).

Ms. Ranjini Manian
Founder Chair, ChampionWoman
Ranjini Manian has spent over two decades as entrepreneur, cultural ambassador, author and philanthropist connecting global citizens to India. She currently serves as the Founder-Chairperson of Global Adjustments Foundation (a nonprofit organization) whose mission is to empower women and girls by providing them life leadership coaching through the ChampionWoman workshops in Schools, Colleges and Workplaces. She has served on the Harvard Women’s Leadership Board and holds an honorary doctorate in literature recognising her leadership in promoting cultural understanding across the globe.
Ms. Bhavani Balasubramanian

Bhavani Balasubramanian is the Chief Strategist - Diversity Evaluations for AVTAR, handling diversity assessments and training for corporates and has trained over 8000 women participants in leadership skills. She is an accredited leadership & diversity coach engaged in coaching senior, mid management professionals as well as engaged in Leadership training for Women Professionals on building their career paths with intentionality.
Dr. Lalitha Balakrishnan
Principal, M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women
Lalitha Balakrishnan is presently the Principal of M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, an arts and science college in Chennai. The College is affiliated with the University of Madras and is a self-financing institution offering 14 undergraduate, six postgraduate courses, and Ph.D. programme in commerce.
She is passionately Involved in Youth Empowerment Initiatives and Organized “Penn Kalvi” – run for the girl child, Thozhil Seiyalam Thozhi - to impart entrepreneurship skills to rural women.
Dr. Rohini Rau

International Athlete - Sailing
Rohini Rau is India’s top woman sailor who created history by winning India’s first international gold medal by a women’s youth team at the Asian Sailing Championship in 2004. She has participated in eight World Championships and numerous international events, winning 6 international medals and 32 National Medals, including 8 Consecutive National titles in the Laser Radial. She is now working as a Doctor at Kauvery Hospital, Chennai and pursuing her M.Sc Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. She is also working as a health researcher with the National Geographic Okavango Wilderness Project.
Ms. Sruti Harihara Subramanian
National Award-Winning Filmmaker

Sruti Harihara Subramanian was the director of the Amazon Exclusive musical docu-series ‘Harmony with AR Rahman’. Her debut feature documentary 'A Far Afternoon' on eminent painter Krishen Khanna bagged the Rajat Kamal for the best art/cultural film at the 63rd Indian National Film Awards and also the best music for non- feature film. It has been nominated for the best documentary in the New York Indian International Film Festival 2016. She is also the co-founder of golisodastore.com, a platform to bring environment-friendly products to the mainstream market. They manufacture products that are chemical-free, zero waste, natural and contain sustainably sourced ingredients. They believe in giving a second life to most non-perishables and focus on upcycling and repurposing of products to reduce the outflow of waste.
