Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai (GLIM Chennai) is proud to be a cultivator of exceptional business talent. As Group Director of Corporate & Career Services (CCS), I have the distinct privilege of witnessing firsthand the transformative journeys of our students. Over the last 20 years since inception, Great Lakes has been the creator of a plethora of trendsetting milestones, in collaboration with several of the corporate partners, truly making us a school of firsts. Our rigorous academic environment, coupled with our prestigious double crown accreditation by AMBA and AACSB along with NBA, AICTE and SAQS, equips graduates to become the future leaders who will disrupt and redefine industries. These efforts have borne fruits in terms of placement outcomes, with our growing alumni network worldwide. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our industry and corporate partners for the same.

The One-Year Flagship PGPM cohort caters to students with an average experience of 3.5 years, offering concentration-based learning in areas such as Consulting, Product Management, Data Science/Analytics, Project and Program Management, Technology Sales/Business Development, and Fin-Tech. These concentrations complement functional domains like Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Analytics. Students benefit from conceptual learning, advanced labs, and our unique ‘Fluid Intellect’ initiative, which blends conceptual frameworks with the development of hard and soft skills. Experiential learning is emphasized through specialized labs, projects, and simulations, supported by structured mentoring.

The Two-Year PGDM program targets high-potential graduates with less than three years of experience. It provides a structured foundation in core business disciplines, followed by strategic elective choices in Analytics, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. Finance majors can explore the prestigious elective course ‘RIDE - Real-life Investment Decision Experience,’ which offers first-hand experience in equity research and portfolio management, with a total corpus of Ten Lakhs allocated for real-world investment scenarios."

Our goal is to establish strategic collaborations that not only provide students with exceptional internship and placement opportunities but also strategically shape the course curriculum to align with industry requirements. Through corporate advisory and enhanced experiential learning, we aim to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Our collaboration with PayPal at CCS, where we co-created a curriculum on Software Product Management, was a pioneering initiative in India. This collaboration produced exceptional Product Management Professionals and garnered positive feedback from learners and several leading product companies worldwide, including those beyond PayPal. We highly value such partnerships and remain committed to shaping the next generation of business leaders.
