Great Lakes successfully concluded the placement process for the PGDM with 100% of the students in the placement process finding opportunities across diverse industries. The placements of Pallavas, the PGDM Class of 2015, attracted leading corporates like Accenture, Airtel, Barclays, Blue Ocean, Cognizant, Dell, Ford India, Genpact, HDFC Bank, IBM, ICRA, Mindtree, Snapdeal to name a few and saw new benchmarks being set in terms of the quality and diversity of offers as well as the compensation levels. While the average CTC increased to INR 8.75 lakhs p.a., marquee FMCG recruiter Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages made the highest offer of INR 17 lakhs p.a.
Some of thefirst time recruiters were Lava International, HDFC Standard Life, Ashok Leyland, Hackett Group, Shopclues, Genpact, Damco, Bajaj Finserv, People Matters, Astra Zeneca, and Kaar Technologies.While IT/ITES and BFSI continued to be the largest recruiting sectors, the 2015 season also saw new roles being offered in E-Commerce by organizations like Snapdeal, Shopclues, Matrimony.com, MeetUrPro and Indiaproperty.com.
Function wise, Sales & Marketing remained a major area with 43% of the students taking up profiles in the area. Organizations which offered Sales & Marketing roles included Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, Airtel, Snapdeal, Blue Ocean, IBM, HDFC Life Insurance, Matrimony.com, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank, Tata Communications, Gofrugal, etc.
Banking/Finance(23%) emerged as the next major area followed by Operations/IT (17%). Finance roles were offered by Barclays, Dell, Cognizant, Bank of America, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finserv, ICRA, Hansacequity, HDFC Bank, Sutherland Global Services. Operations/IT roles were offered by Accenture, Cognizant, Syntel, Shopclues, Infosys, Accenture, Mindtree, Ford India, Barclays, Damco, Prakash Kochhar& Co., Optimal Strategix to name a few.
