Hemanth Thiru is a visiting faculty member at Great Lakes Institute of Management, with a focus on Marketing and Analytics. Prior to joining Great Lakes, Hemanth was a part-time faculty member at Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto.
Hemanth is an Analytics and AI professional with 19 years of overall experience across top Retailers and Consulting firms across Canada, Finland and India. He is a strong advocate of data-driven decision-making and AI-driven actions, who is very passionate about teaching and mentoring.
He joined the academic world 6 years ago, but continues to work in the Consulting space, full time. He holds a B. Tech degree in Information Technology from Anna University and an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from Schulich School of Business. Starting his career with Tata Consultancy Services in India, Hemanth worked with Nokia in Finland, and moved to Canada where he worked with AIRMILES (a loyalty consulting firm), Holt Renfrew (a luxury apparel retailer), Loblaws (a grocery retailer) and The Home Depot (a home improvement retailer). He currently works with Accenture India as a Senior Manager within the Strategy & Consulting – Retail AI division.
