Eligibility

  • A Master’s Degree in any area or Two-year Post Graduate Diploma or a 5-year Integrated Master’s Degree with 60% or above marks. Candidates in the final year of their master's program may also apply.
  • Valid entrance test scores from JRF(NET)/CAT/GMAT/GRE/XAT

International Dual Track

Scholars can opt for a Dual Track Program through which they get an opportunity to pursue a second PhD from University of Texas at Arlington, USA and explore placement opportunities globally in the field of academia.

Applicants having valid GMAT scores can choose the Dual Track during their second year. After spending a year at UT Arlington in USA, they also have the option of spending the next 3 years at either of the campuses as per their financial feasibility and preference.

Program Design & Curriculum

The program consists of two phases. Phase 1 spans the first two years, where students undertake a diverse curriculum and complete two research papers, preparing them for future research. Phase 2 begins after successfully defending the second-year paper, leading to formal candidacy for the FPM award. Students then work on their dissertation, to be defended in the fourth and fifth years.

The curriculum offers three research tracks: Consumer Behaviour, Quantitative Marketing, and Marketing Strategy, totaling 54 credits, combining coursework and dissertation work. Read more

Benefits

  • Admitted scholars will receive a tuition fee stipend of Rs. 50,000 for the initial two years, increasing to Rs. 65,000 for the subsequent two years. Fifth-year funding is contingent upon satisfactory progress on the dissertation.
  • Single-occupancy campus accommodation will be provided (subject to availability). Limited on-campus housing is provided for married students.
  • Scholars receive funding for attending conferences, collecting data, purchasing software/books through their faculty advisor’s research budget, and a new, customised laptop.
  • Scholars and their immediate family (spouse and dependents) are covered by the institute’s Group Health Insurance Policy.
