Sudipt Roy


Dr. Sudipt Roy was on the Marketing faculty at the Indian School of Business (ISB) till 2015. Before joining academia, he was a sales and marketing professional for over a decade. Dr. Sudipt Roy was the SBU Head for a US-based Fortune 200 company, leading an all-India sales force. He led the successful turnaround of the SBU and subsequently, launched new products. Later, he joined the Indian joint venture of a Switzerland-based consulting company as a team leader and marketing specialist and consulted with several large business houses on diverse assignments.

Dr. Sudipt Roy has a Ph.D. in Quantitative Modeling (Marketing) from the Washington University, a PGDM from IIM, Bangalore, and a B. Tech. from IIT, Kharagpur. He conducts academic research in the areas of pricing, promotion, and e-commerce.

Currently, I run a Marketing Analytics firm, Data By Choice (www.databychoice.com) which helps companies attain "enhanced performance through informed decisions".
