Mr. Rajamanickam (Raja) is presently the President and Chief Process Officer of Trimentus Technologies. He has 20 years of experience in all facets of software quality, right from ISO 9000, CMM and CMMI. Raja heads the consulting practice of Trimentus Technologies and provides consulting and assessment to the customers of Trimentus. He has provided SPI consultancy and conducted CMM assessments/CMMI appraisals for many prestigious clients in countries like the US, Brazil, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Japan and Australia.
Prior to joining Trimentus in June 2005, Raja was working as the Vice President of Corporate Quality at HCL Technologies, (Nov 1999– Jun 2005) an India-based IT services company, with about 25,000 employees, providing software solutions worldwide. He was coordinating the software process improvement programs in line with ISO 9000, SEI CMM Level 5, CMMI Level 5 and Lean Six Sigma of all Software Development Centers (SDCs) of HCL Technologies as the head of corporate SEPG. He was also the Executive Champion of the Lean Six Sigma initiatives of HCL Technologies.
Prior to his HCL stint, Mr. Rajamanickam was heading the quality function at Oracle India Development Center (IDC), ( from Oct 1996 – Nov 1999) where he was involved in the quality journey of Oracle IDC almost from the scratch to ISO 9001 certification and further SEI-CMM Level 4 assessment. He was the Management Representative, Head of SEPG and Metrics Council besides conducting various internal audits as a Lead Auditor. He also participated in the initial setting up of quality functions for Oracle’s second development center in Hyderabad.
He started his career in BHEL, a manufacturing giant in the public sector industry of India where he was involved in various aspects of Quality right from shop floor inspection, QA, Quality Circle movement and ISO 9000 coordination for close to ten years.
In addition to the practical experience in CMM/CMMi listed above, Mr. Rajamanickam has experience in teaching quality-related topics. He was an internal faculty in Oracle IDC and in HCL Technologies and has taught SEI-CMM, ISO 9000, Software Quality Management, Fagan Inspection, Personal Software Process, Software Testing, Configuration Management, Statistical Process Control, etc. He has taught MBA students of Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore on various software Quality management topics, including ISO9000 & SEI-CMM and also a visiting faculty to the Anna University, Chennai.
Mr. Rajamanickam holds ME in Industrial Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, (where he was awarded as the 'Best Outgoing student') and Executive MBA from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai.
