Born and brought up in New Delhi, she graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, did her Masters in English Literature and Bachelors in Education. At this point, she developed an interest in writing and did her Post Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Journalism and a Specialisation course in Communication from Farmington, CT, USA. She started her career as a faculty with Business Schools after an MBA in Marketing before setting up her own consultancy in the year 1997.
