Dr. Sriram Rajagopalan

Dr. Sriram Rajagopalan earned his PhD from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), Chennai. He also holds a Master of Computing degree from the National University of Singapore and a Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology. His professional journey encompasses over 19 years of experience within the IT industry, spanning diverse domains and with a specific focus on IT Security and IT Infrastructure. Commencing his career as a Mainframe analyst, he swiftly transitioned to software development utilizing programming languages such as C and Java. Notably, he served a substantial tenure at Wipro Technologies, where he embarked as a software analyst, later progressing into roles involving project management and senior delivery management. During this period, he adeptly handled various IT security and IT Infrastructure projects. Following his productive tenure at Wipro Technologies, he contributed to Tech Mahindra for 2.5 years, assuming the position of Practice Head in IT infrastructure services. In this capacity, he excelled as a Delivery Assurance Specialist, offering expert solutions and rapid-response expertise. Subsequently, at Mphasis Limited, Chennai, he held the role of Associate Vice President, functioning as an IT Infrastructure Delivery Consultant. His responsibilities encompassed the provision of strategic consulting solutions to clients in the US and Europe, thus amplifying his proficiency in the IT Infrastructure domain. Notably, he also enriched his academic experience as an Assistant Professor at the Great Lakes Institute of Management prior to joining NMIMS Hyderabad. Presently, Dr. Sriram Rajagopalan undertakes teaching responsibilities for Management Information Systems and IT Consulting. His research pursuits encompass a diverse array of interests, including Software Development Methodologies, IT Project Management & Consulting, IT Sourcing Strategies, IT Service Delivery Integration and Management, IT Risk Management and Security, IT-Business Strategic Alignment, and IT Governance and Leadership. These research themes showcase his multidisciplinary approach and the depth of his expertise in the dynamic field of IT.
