Dear prospective Great laker,

I am delighted address you all on the launch of our two year PGDM program focused on ‘Emerging Markets’.

Those of you who are aware of the history of Great lakes will know that we have been one of the pioneers to bring one year fast track management program to this country and today most of the top schools have introduced similar programs. This in a sense vindicates our ability to look into the future and spot potential needs and trends and respond to them in the most appropriate fashion.

While the need for fast track program has been on the rise, we have been carefully watching the fact that significant proportion of demand still continues to be for the traditional format of two year MBA.

We as a top ranked institute looked at this as an opportunity to broaden our offering to serve the need for top managerial talent that is growing by leaps and bounds in emerging economies, despite the slowdown of advanced countries.

This program focusses on producing a cadre of managers and leaders who understand the needs of emerging economies, the way they are growing, the managerial challenges that are there and what it takes to succeed in such an environment.
