Great Lakes has always had societal wellness at the heart of all its initiatives. Our programs have been crafted to benefit the professional population and also the society at large. We have found our offerings to be successful enough to replicate through the country and as a first step in creating our Pan-India presence, I am delighted to announce the maiden batch of the Great Lakes Post Graduate Working Professional Program in Management (PGWPM) in the National Capital Region – at Gurgaon.
Targeted at those working professionals who work by the week and study by the weekend, by default, the working professional brings to the table a wealth of experience gained from his employment and automatically ‘raises the bar’ of quality in classroom interactions. The program is a potpourri of a wealth of courses, specially designed by some of the best teachers in the management academia in India and the US and provides a holistic integration of scholastic aptitude as well as industrial pragmatism. Apart from the curricular necessities, we have also included imperative initiatives in Corporate Social responsibility, care-share activities and Karma Yoga programs that instill a sense of responsibility amongst our participant students. Message from the Director
Great Lakes IEMR is a unique management and research institution with focus on grooming professionals & leaders in energy sector. The scope covers the full spectrum of energy sector i.e. power sector (Thermal & Hydel), oil & Gas, renewable energy (solar, wind& bio-fuel ), energy efficiency and sustainable development. The Institute is engaged in conducting full time post graduate management programmes, part time executive development programmes, Short term MDPs, specialized consulting, independent research& policy advocacy. Our programs offer a mix of functional managerial skills and domain knowledge of energy sector.
PGWPM (Energy ) programme has been tailor made to groom working professional who would like to upgrade their knowledge in management and domain knowledge of Energy sector. It is a program suitable for graduates with minimum of two years professional experience who would like to upgrade themselves while working on their existing job. The programme would prepare the participants for more responsible positions in fast growing energy sector. The duration of the programme is 2 years & classes would be held on alternate week ends i.e. Saturdays & Sundays so that participants can fulfill their commitment to their work & personal life too.
The programme provides residential facilities also for outstation candidates to facilitate the learning process. The program includes basic functional courses in Management discipline namely financial accounting, statistics, Macro economics, Marketing Management, Business communication, managerial accounting and Operations Management, project management etc. The domain knowledge includes Energy sector overview, Power( generation, transmission & distribution), Oil & Gas, Renewable energy (Solar, Wind, & Bio-fuel), Energy efficiency
and sustainable development etc. The institute provides an ambiance for experiential learning of managerial and team skills and creative expression. We believe in the motto of learning with joy .The institute has highly qualified and experienced faculty both in the area of management discipline and domain knowledge in energy sector.
