Great Lakes IEMR students win the prestigious Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition, India

 

 

 

Sandip Dalvi, Kailas Kale, Hitvallabh Shukla & Vijayakumar, candidates of PGPM (Energy) of Great Lakes IEMR, won the first prize at the prestigious 5th Al Gore Sustainable Technology Venture Competition, India, organized by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, India, and The Foundation for a Sustainable Future, San Francisco.

 

 

The team from Great Lakes IEMR presented a plan on “Setting up of Green Water Pumping System for Irrigation” were selected after presentations to the Jury comprising venture capitalists and industry executives. The shortlisted teams comprised of students from India’s leading institutions including IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Banglore, IIM Lucknow, IIFT, IMT, etc.

 

The winner and runner-up were awarded prizes of Rs 100,000 and Rs 70,000 per team respectively. The finalists also received an opportunity to interact directly with top-tier venture capitalists and entrepreneurs who can help turn their plan into reality.
